Installation
When a church has selected the fabrics and placed the order, a mutually agreed upon time is set for our crew to come to your location and install the pew padding. The first thing they will do upon entering the sanctuary is to re-measure the pews. Neither the fabric nor the padding materials are pre-cut; it is all done on-site. The second thing they will do is upholster one pew as a sample. Upon approval of that sample, they will then begin the process of upholstering the rest of the pews. They can generally do about three hundred feet of seat only padding in eight hours, for both seat and back padding takes about twelve hours to do three hundred feet.
The installers have had extensive training and the method they use insures a perfect installation every time. During our installation we do not use glue, nuts, bolts, screws, or nails to attach the pew padding; we use a system of blind tacking and upholstery staples. This system has been specifically designed so as not to harm the wood in the church pews. If in later years you were to decide to remove PAD-A-PEW® and go back to plain wooden pews (highly unlikely!), you would need only to use plastic wood where the staples were.
